Graduate Manager - The Lighthouse Group
2002 to present

Whilst working here, my responsibilities have included:


IT - developing and managing the organisations IT infrastructure; 50 networked Windows PCs, Wireless Telecommunication system, Website development and Email systems.

Health & Safety - implementing a safe system of working across 4 departments, answering directly to Charity Director to ensure companies compliance with current law and developing policy, practice and training.

Project Manager - Managing the delivery and staffing of European funded projects to achieve organisational targets and specified outcomes. This has primarily been in the area of post 16 learning, information and guidance for Young People who are not in Education Employment or Training.

Contract Manager - ongoing contracts to deliver services for agencies within the voluntary sector. These contracts have been a crime prevention scheme of holiday activities and the provision of personal advisor support for Tier 1 young people aged 13 to 19.

Line Management - to manage a diverse team of 5 key delivery staff to meet departmental objectives, contractual obligations and most importantly their needs.


Pharmacy Technician (MTO2) - Birmingham Heartlands Hospital -  1994 to 2001

During my training and position at this NHS Teaching Hospital, my responsibilities included managing the Drug supplies and stock levels for specialist wards, preparing and dispensing medication and querying incorrect prescriptions.

I was also involved in aseptic preparation of cytotoxic and parental intravenous preparations, supporting trainee technicians and pre-registration pharmacists in their dispensing skills and I also managed the store department.
